Meet the Candidates for Urbana Mayor!

SUNA (the Southeast Urbana Neighborhood Association) is hosting a Q&A session with mayoral candidates Annie Adams and DeShawn Williams on Sunday, January 12, from 1:00 PM to 2:15 PM at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 2200 Philo Rd., Urbana.

This is a fantastic opportunity to hear directly from the candidates and ask your questions. During the session, candidates will have equal time for opening and closing remarks. A moderator will ask audience-submitted questions, with a timekeeper ensuring the session runs smoothly and fairly.

Key Election Dates:

• Early Voting for the Primary: Begins January 16
• Primary Election Day: February 25
• General Election: April 1 (Early voting begins March 7)

This year in Urbana, there are contested races for Mayor and City Council members in Wards 2, 4, and 6. All candidates are registered Democrats, but you do NOT need to be a registered Democrat to vote in the Democratic primary. The winners of these primary races will advance to the April general election and will run unopposed on the April ballot.
